Cordillera del Paine : ウィキペディア英語版
Cordillera Paine

The Cordillera Paine is a small mountain group in Torres del Paine National Park in Chilean Patagonia. It is located north of Punta Arenas, and about 1,960 km south of the Chilean capital Santiago. It belongs to the Commune of Torres del Paine in Última Esperanza Province of Magallanes and Antártica Chilena Region. No accurate surveys have been published, and published elevations have been claimed to be seriously inflated, so most of the elevations given on this page are approximate.〔Biggar, John, 2015. ''The Andes: A Guide for Climbers'' (4th edition, ISBN 978-0-9536087-4-4). Several elevations given by this authority are much lower than those given by other authorities, and the higher elevations are not supported by official Chilean IGM maps.〕 ''Paine'' means "blue" in the native Tehuelche (Aonikenk) language and is pronounced ''PIE-nay''.〔Abraham, Rudolf (2011). ''Torres del Paine: Trekking in Chile's Premier National Park''. Milnthorpe: Cicerone Press. (p. 17 ). ISBN 978-1-84965-356-5. Retrieved 4 August 2015.〕

The highest summit of the range is Cerro Paine Grande, at . For a long time its elevation was claimed to be 3,050 m, but in August 2011 it was ascended for the third time and found to be 2,884 m.〔http://andesgear.expenews.com/en/expeditions/197/dispatches/2900 2011 Expedition〕
The best-known and most spectacular summits are the three Towers of Paine (Spanish: Torres del Paine, ).
The South Tower of Paine (about 2,500 m,〔 at ) is now thought to be the highest of the three, although this has not been definitely established. It was first climbed by Armando Aste.
The Central Tower of Paine (about 2,460 m or 8,100 feet〔) was first climbed in 1963 by Chris Bonington and Don Whillans, and the North Tower of Paine (about 2,260 m) was first climbed by Guido Monzino.
Other summits include the Cuerno Principal, about 2,100 m,〔 and Cerro Paine Chico, which is usually correctly quoted at about 2,650 m.〔
